As a Certified Imago Relationship therapist, I have worked with many couples over the years. In addition to couples, I also help individuals who are seeking a relationship, going through a break up, or need help with a current relationship. Often, clients wonder why they keep repeating the same patterns in a relationship and what can they do to prevent this. One misconception I often hear is, “Why do I keep attracting the wrong person?” To reframe the question, I will help a client understand why they are attracted to the “wrong person" and find ways to break the pattern. There always is a reason, and along with the client, we determine ways to break such frustrating patterns. Sometimes, a client feels hopeless that it “will always be this way.” My goal is to help clients break these patterns and assist them to understand their part in the struggle.
