Satisfying Sex for Committed Couples is an experiential six-week webinar that helps couples create a more joyful, open, and connected sexual relationship. Grounded in Imago theory, it offers practical tools and guided partner exercises to support honest communication, deepen erotic connection, and navigate the natural changes that affect sexuality over time.
This workshop will help participants:
-
Build safe, positive conversations about sexuality.
-
Strengthen erotic connection through dialogue and mutual understanding.
-
Create a shared vision for their sexual relationship.
-
Explore desire, arousal, orgasm, and satisfaction in a relational context.
-
Adapt together to life changes, aging, and evolving needs.
This special offering is designed for Imago professionals, both to enrich their personal experience of the material and to provide practical tools they can bring into their work with couples. It is especially relevant for therapists, facilitators, and other Imago-trained professionals who want an Imago-based approach to sexuality that is both educational and experiential, with teaching, demonstrations, breakout room practice, written reflection, Q&A, and guided couple exercises woven throughout the program.
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate elements of the sexual relationship from the relationship as a whole
- Facilitate sexual appreciation dialogues of the partner and the self.
- Apply the Relationship Vision exercise to the Sexual Relationship.
- Discuss the Missing Sexual Self
- Use the Lost Sexual Self Dialogue to help couples identify and reintegrate aspects of sexuality repressed in childhood and adolescence
- Identify the phases of the sexual arousal cycles described by several major researchers in this area
- Enhance each phase of the sexual arousal cycles
- Discuss concepts of willingness and consent as they relate to sexuality in committed relationships
- Differentiate erotic desire from arousal
- Lead clients through specific dialogues to explore and enhance desire, arousal, orgasm, resolution and the refractory phase
- Coach couples through safe touch with feedback exercises
- Adapt Imago processes, such as the Flooding Exercise, Caring Behaviors to sexuality
- Discuss the impact of aging and other life changes on sexuality
