Maureen A Foy-Tornay, LPC, ATR-BC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA, as well as Board Certified Art Therapist and in training for Imago Relational Therapy intensive training for couple in 2024. I currently work with individuals and couples as well as police officers and their families in my office in Jenkintown. I have published in eating disorder treatment with art and journaling techniques. My extensive college, hospital and outpatient work over 29 years has given me a deep understanding of how trauma impacts our and our families lives. Therapy is a safe and accepting space for you. I use a wide variety of time tested tools including trauma informed methods. I am so excited to be adding Imago relationship dialogue work for couples and individuals. I have found it to be a very healing for couple. My goals is for you to feel courageous, empowered and to have the self acceptance to move forward and tackle challenges. My approach is direct, warm and collaborative. I work very well with ‘cycle breakers’, those seeking to create a healthier next generation.  I guide and educate couples and individuals to set clearer boundaries in order not to build a wall against the past but to create space for themselves.
