Maria Kallas Monroe S.E.P. M.F.T., SEP, LMFT

Maria has been married since 1984. She and her husband Dan enjoy their four adult children and 11 very cute grandchildren. Maria read Harville’s book “Getting the Love You Want” in 1988 and in the 1990’s started doing work in Imago with her husband Dan. Her personal experience with Imago was so profound she decided to “pay it forward” by furthering her education in Imago

She has 40 years of business experience, parenting expertise and extensive spiritual work  which greatly enhance her work with couples around financial issues, parenting, partnership and spirituality. Her various Certifications include Healing Touch Therapy, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Mediation, EMDR, Redirecting Children’s’ Behavior Parenting Workshop Presenter, Imago Parenting Workshop Presenter and Imago Therapist, Imago ‘Getting The Love You Want’ Workshop Presenter. Completion of the three year training  Somatic Experience Trauma Therapy in 2017. Additionally, Maria has done extensive training in Mindfulness, EFT Couples Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy.

Maria became an Imago Therapist in 2002 undertaking a comprehensive training program. She completed an additional intensive training program in order to become a Certified Getting the Love You Want couples workshop presenter in 2010.

Also, she uses Somatic Experience Therapy in her sessions to deepen the experience, clearing defensive patterns and bringing people into a more conscious relationship with themselves and with others. She is dedicated to guiding people to their essence, presence and deepening consciousness.

Maria provides Individual Therapy sessions, 45 minutes and  Imago couples therapy sessions, 75/90 minutes. Also if couples would like to do half day or full day intensives, that service is available. Many couples have flown in to do intensives and enjoy the Del Mar Southern California Vacation Experience.  The Couples Advanced group is also available for graduates of the workshop. Maria’s office is located in Del Mar within a fifteen minute radius of La Jolla, Encinitas, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Cardiff and Leucadia.
