Katya Stark, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Portland, Oregon, and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Originally from Estonia, I am a Russian-speaking immigrant who lived in England before moving to Portland, and I am now preparing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah. I bring a culturally responsive lens to my work and a deep respect for the complexity of identity, belonging, and connection. In addition to my work with Imago Relationship Therapy, I have invested in training in Gestalt therapy and somatic approaches, which support deep emotional awareness and embodied connection in my sessions I love working with couples of all orientations who want to create safety, deepen intimacy, and transform conflict into growth. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+, multicultural, or navigating non-traditional relationship structures, and I also work with many heterosexual couples seeking to strengthen their connection. I provide a structured, compassionate space where each partner can be fully seen and heard, while learning the skills of intentional dialogue, empathy, and validation that strengthen the “space between” and support lasting connection.
