Dodie M. Stein, MSW, LCSW

Dodie M. Stein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Indiana. She has over two decades of clinical experience primarily in specialty medical settings, including dialysis clinics and hospice. Her clinical interests include adults with chronic medical conditions, aging concerns, depression and anxiety, life and work transitions, grief and loss, crisis intervention, communication issues, personality disorders, and adjustment and coping issues.

She employs psychodynamic strategies to help clients cope better with their life situations. The focus of her work with clients is on the healthy management of the emotional challenges of everyday life and making peace with past experiences. For over two decades, she worked as a Clinical Audiologist with patients of all ages, from infants to very elderly adults. In addition to providing assessment and rehabilitation services, much of her work involved crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and grief and loss support.

She is a member of the national and local National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Indiana Society of Psychoanalytic Thought (ISPT). She earned an MSW degree (Indiana University), a BS in Speech Pathology & Audiology (Syracuse University), an MA in Communication Disorders (University of Southern California), and a PhD in Audiology (The University of Iowa).

Dodie is currently accepting new clients for individual and couples/family psychotherapy.
