Bonnie Hirschhorn, LCSW, LCAT, LP, Advanced Certified Imago Therapist

Bonnie Hirschhorn is a highly skilled therapist with over 35 years of experience. She has a master degree in Art Therapy and another in Clinical Social Work. She has completed a 10 year postgraduate program in Expressive Psychoanalysis as well as a three year postgraduate program in Couples Therapy. She is licensed as an Art Therapist, Psychoanalyst and Clinical Social Worker and she is certified as an Advanced Imago Relationship Therapist, Hypnotherapist and Yoga Instructor.
Through her many years of experience, Bonnie has developed a unique way of integrating non-verbal therapeutic modalities such as art and drama therapy, guided meditation with Imago Couples Therapy. Some couples find these tools extremely useful as a way to bypass verbal language and go deeper into one’s feelings and needs. Other couples benefit just from the empathic supportive caring atmosphere that Bonnie provides for her couples to connect through Imago dialogue and other benneficial relationship tools.
Bonnie has had a private psychotherapy practice in Manhattan for the past 35 years and hopes to do some work there again when it is safe to do so. Meanwhile she is finding success with tele-therapy and in person work in her New Paltz office.
