Getting the Love You Want Weekend Workshop

Who Is This Workshop For?

This workshop is designed for couples at any stage of relationship. Whether you’ve recently found one another, have been together for many years, are in a first or subsequent marriage, rebuilding after a separation or significant rupture, or planning a lifetime together, you are welcome.

Couples come to the workshop for many different reasons. Some are hoping to reconnect after feeling distant. Others simply want to strengthen an already good relationship and learn practical skills that will support them for years to come. Whatever brings you here, the workshop is designed to meet you where you are.

What to Expect

Over the course of the weekend, we’ll guide you through the Getting the Love You Want Workshop in the same sequence it has been taught internationally for many years. Each section builds on the previous one, helping you understand how relationships naturally develop, why couples become stuck in familiar patterns, and, most importantly, how to create healthier ways of connecting.

The weekend includes a combination of teaching, demonstrations, and private couple exercises. While you’ll be learning alongside other couples, most of your conversations and practice will take place privately with your partner.

You’ll leave with a practical understanding of the patterns in your relationship, along with communication tools you can begin using immediately and a road map for how to move forward.

Learning Online

One of the things that surprises couples most is how well this workshop translates to an online format. It’s natural to wonder whether you’ll be spending the entire weekend looking at a screen. The answer is no.

We include regular breaks throughout the weekend, along with a generous lunch break each day. Many of the meaningful exercises take place away from the screen as you work privately with your partner. During those times, Anna & Tim are available if you would like support or guidance—you simply invite us into your conversation when needed.

When possible, couples choose to clear their calendars and make the weekend entirely about their relationship. Some stay home while others book a hotel, head to a cottage, or even swap homes with friends to create the feeling of being away together. However you choose to participate, we encourage you to create a comfortable, private space where you can focus on one another.

Note About Learning Online: If you or your partner is someone who finds extended screen time tiring or has wondered whether an online weekend would work for you, you’re not alone. We hear this question often. Most couples are pleasantly surprised by how varied the weekend feels. Because the workshop alternates between teaching, private couple exercises, regular breaks, and time away from the screen, it tends to be much more engaging—and much less screen-intensive—than people expect.

Learning with Other Couples

Although you’ll be learning alongside other couples, this is not group therapy. The workshop is educational and experiential, with the emphasis on helping you develop new skills together.

Couples are never required to share personal information with the group. You’ll decide what, if anything, you’d like to contribute. Most of your work happens in the privacy of your own relationship.

Many couples tell us that one of the unexpected benefits of the weekend is realizing how universal relationship patterns really are. While every relationship is unique, the challenges couples experience are often remarkably similar, and there can be great comfort in discovering you’re not alone.
