How do I get my partner to help more with the kids and the house?

I imagine any two people in a relationship have different experiences and expectations on parenting and the division of household labor based on their family of origin and the culture of that family.

Inviting each partner to share her/his/their experience and expectations may help to create some understanding of their differing perspectives, which may lead to a discussion about a shared vision for how to parent and manage the household.

Imago Relationship Therapy offers tools for having that dialogue and creating the vision.
